Names of Jewish Feasts

Post by Louis L Sorenson »

I'm trying to compile a list of the Jewish feasts in Greek. I have a list of 9 festivals total. I would like to find the possible names, preferably every on having the pattern "ἡ ἑορτη ____ _______". Any suggestions?

1. Passover (14 Nisan) ἡ ἑορτὴ τοῦ Πάσχα
2. Unleavened Bread (15-21 Νisan) ἑορτὴ τῶν ἀζύμων | τὰ ἄζυμα
3. Firstfruits (16 Nisan) ἀπαρχή (?)
4. Pentecost (Shavuot - Feast of Weeks Sivan 6) ἑορτὴ τῶν ἑβδομάδων; ἡ πεντηκοστὴ ἡμέρα
5. Trumpets | Rosh Hashanah (Tishri 1) ἡμέρα σημασίας (?) Num 29.1
6. Yom Kippur (Tishri 10)
7. Tabernacles | Succoth (Tishri 15-21) ἡ ἑορτὴ τῆς σκηνοπαγίας
8. Hanukkah (Post biblical) Feast of Lights (Tevet 2)
9. Purim (Post biblical - Esther) (Adar 14)

Other festivals/celebrations/memorials would be welcomed, e.g. the celebration of Jephthah's vow to sacrifice his daughter (Judges 11:40)
