Trivia: What is the longest word in the New Testament?

Post by Stephen Hughes »

What is the longest word in the New Testament?

There are two possible answers to this question
  • What is the longest word in the NT lexicon?
  • What is the longest word that occurs in its conjugated form in a NT passage?
[It is okay if you think the negative is included in a verbal form]

Longest Inflected Word in the NT:

προκεχειροτονημένοις - 20 characters

Acts 10:41

Longest Lemma used in the NT:
τεσσαρεσκαιδέκατος - 18 characters

Acts 27:27
