Software for Teaching a Language

Dr. Harold Kime had made a post recently about developing " a beginning NT Greek grammar that combines intermediate syntax and dynamic translation techniques with the traditional study of 1st year morphology." In conversing with him, I found that he uses Byki software http://www.byki.com/byki_descr.html. Is there other language teaching software out there?
I suppose we could add flashcard software as a subcategory. Sites like FlashcardExchange and other sites offer full sets of NT vocabulary flashcards, for Mounce and other grammars.
I also remember reading that there is an open-source (free) modern Greek program available similar to Rosetta Stone. Does anyone know anything about these programs. I would really like to get some direction and feedback on which is best, and how best to use them.
