896 ἐστί(ν)
610 εἶπε(ν)
336 λέγει
314 ἦν
211 λέγω
201 ἐγένετο
178 λέγων
156 εἰσί(ν)
150 λέγοντες
138 εἰμί

That's using

Code: Select all

grep " V- " *.txt | awk '{print $6}' | sort | uniq -c | sort -r | head
on MorphGNT.
FWIW, using normalized forms and the right Greek collation for grouping, I get much more similar results. These are for the Nestle 1904, so slight differences are to be expected. I don't have the normalized forms in the SBLGNT trees yet.

Code: Select all

<word count="899">ἐστιν</word>
<word count="612">εἶπεν</word>
<word count="338">λέγει</word>
<word count="315">ἦν</word>
<word count="211">λέγω</word>
<word count="202">ἐγένετο</word>
<word count="200">ἰδού</word>
<word count="177">λέγων</word>
<word count="157">εἰσίν</word>
<word count="149">λέγοντες</word>
<word count="138">εἰμί</word>
ἐξίσταντο δὲ πάντες καὶ διηποροῦντο, ἄλλος πρὸς ἄλλον λέγοντες, τί θέλει τοῦτο εἶναι;
