Anyone want to work through Dickey's Greek Prose Composition book?

Post by EricSowell »

Anyone want to set a pace and work through Composition and Analysis of Greek Prose by Eleanor Dickey? Could be a fun exercise and we can chat here if we have any hangups.

I've ordered the book and should have it some time next week. We've spoken with a few others in side channels who are interested, so it looks like we've got a group of interested folks.

This sounds like a terrific idea! When would this start, and what kind of pace is being considered?

I just got the book, but haven't had much time to evaluate how the exercises are laid out. Anyone have an opinion or feedback on pacing?

20 chapters so 20 weeks? Maybe try this for a couple weeks and see if that's too fast or slow.

That sounds reasonable. So when for week 1?

OK, here we go. Among other things, this should provide good polytonic typing practice. :-)

Maybe I'm missing it but I don't see an answer key for the accenting stuff here at the beginning. I guess we'll have to post here and check each other's work.
