Where can a varia lectio (v.l.) be found?

Looking at the BDAG entry for ὁμοιάζω, all of the passages are described as variae lectiones.

Where can one find them?

Is this a point in which BDAG is (reliably) consistent? (referencing to passages outside the eclectic text).

You find them in the margins of your NA27 ... the entry says that these occur in variant readings. If you are concerned only with variant readings before 300 a.d., Alan Bunning's manuscripts site is very helpful. But in this entry, at least, BDAG doesn't seem to tell you which variant readings he is referring to, you have to look them up.

These are all found in the apparatus of the Nestle-Aland Critical Text (which one should own for doing serious work with the Greek text).

No. It's very hit and miss. I suspect that, for any lexical entry whose pure attestation is in variant readings from the critical text, it must have been read in the Textus Receptus when BDAG's predecessors were originally compiled.
