σπαράσσω in Newman's revised Dictionary

σπαράσσω in Newman's revised Dictionary

Postby Tim Lewis » July 22nd, 2011, 12:09 am

Hi,

I'm wondering if someone who has access to Barclay Newman's revised Greek-English Dictionary (2010) could confirm whether or not the entry for σπαράσσω has been changed at all from "throw into convulsions"?

This meaning seems quite widespread nowadays as a supposed contextual meaning (BDAG resists this meaning).

Thanks in advance,
Tim Lewis

Sorry, I haven't yet seen the revised edition of Newman.
