BibleWorks Greek Lexicon by Gingrich

All,

Does anyone have a working copy of BibleWorks and can check something for me? I can no longer run mine because MacOS discontinued supporting older 32-bit programs. (I haven't tried their 64-bit installer yet, but the user forum remarks aren't encouraging.)

I've run into a reference to Gingrich, Greek New Testament Lexicon, BibleWorks 2010. I searched the BibleWorks forum and it appears to be an abridged lexicon of some sort (https://www.bibleworks.com/forums/showt ... le-glosses). Can someone please give me the bibliographic information on it?

Many thanks in advance!

James

Isn‘t that an abridged version of the Bauer-Arndt Lexicon?

Sorry for this post, I was a bit premature! (You knew it was that original).

By the way:

Maybe you can run a virtual machine on your Mac, for instance VM Virtual Box (free). Then You could run an old Version of OS in that VM running Bibleworks).

Thanks, Jason! Exactly what I needed.

Now, can I bother you for another one? I need to know the same thing for Danker. Greek–New Testament Lexicon. Bibleworks 10.

I promise, that's the last one : )

But, I sure do miss BibleWorks sometimes. It was the first Bible software program I used; I remember drooling over it back when it was called Hermeneutica or some such.

Jean,

Thanks for the reference to VirtualBox, but I no longer have a version of Windows—and it's not worth buying one just so I can run BibleWorks.

You can install VirtualBox on an Mac-OSX system and then install within the Virtual Machine some other Version of Mac OSX. Much easier seems to be to install Parallels on your Mac and then install an older Version of OSX.

With Parallels I have no experience, seems to be the best VM for Apple-Computers. As far as I know there is a free version of parallels.

Ah, yes. Hadn't thought of that. I can install an older version that still runs 32-bit software. I'll have to try that when I have some spare time.

Thanks so much!
