English-Greek Dictionary: A Vocabulary of the Attic Language by S. C. WOODHOUSE, M.A., Late Scholar of Christ Church , Oxford, 1910 has been a useful resource in times past for students doing advanced work in Greek composition. It is accessible on line at: http://www.lib.uchicago.edu/efts/Woodhouse/
Hardcopies are available beginning at about $250 (http://www.amazon.com/English-Greek-Dic ... 442&sr=8-4); There's a more useful CD copy of it for about $50 (http://www.amazon.com/English-Greek-Dic ... 442&sr=8-2)

A thread on this resouce has started up in the subforum, "Seen on the Web" of the "Cool Stuff" forum:

ἀλλὰ χρόνῳ ζητέοντες ἐφευρίσκουσιν ἄμεινον. (Xenophanes, Fragment 16)
