Is there one place that the BDAG articles can be accessed? I've been wanting to ask about this for some time....
This is a great question. I live in Minnesota, USA and the library system of Hennepin County grants access to JSTOR, an online database of electronic journals. I don't know if JSTOR gives access to 50% of the articles in BDAG or more or less. Since some references are to books, I assume those are only accessible via a university digital database.

Does anyone have any other ideas or suggestions?

JSTOR has an early journal content service, which may allow you to access some of the older (and still important) works cited by BDAG. You should be aware however that, for materials old enough to be in the public domain, the center of gravity for biblical scholarship at that time was Germany, so you may need to be able to read German to take full advantage of it. But then, if you are really serious about studying this material at a high scholarly level, I would strongly recommend that you learn to read academic German.
