Is anyone familiar with these two books?
Are they worth buying?

What other works have a strongly devotional focus, but are written for people who read Greek and work from the Greek?

Patristic writings and especially commentaries, or and arrangement of them such as the "Chain", often cover themes of reflection of the significance of the Old an New Testament, its message and its principal persons and their significance for our lives. Because they are written in Greek, they would be suitable "for people who read Greek and work with Greek", and would require no English. A couple of downsides of them is that they are written in an authoritarian or other communally unfamiliar discourse style, and that they relate to issues of concern to Christians in their walk that existed within a cultural milieu that we might find remote from our own.
