I am trying to learn Modern Greek at the moment, along with classical Greek. I do have a Byzantine Greek grammar but am too lazy to try that yet. So far I haven’t got far with modern Greek; and just learned the basic tourist phrases such as “δεν μιλάω ελληνικά πολύ καλά γιατί γεννήθηκα ηλίθιος και ανίκανος και δεν βελτιώθηκα ποτέ”
To help aid my modern Greek learning I asked a Greek colleague to find me some parallel resources for Aesops Fables and Lucian of Samosata. Hopefully I can translate the ancient Greek first and then look at how Modern Greek approaches it
She sent me the following free online resources and says the modern Greek is pretty good
