I found this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcO2xAwhL9c which apparently would let me do install, but, due to my computer illiteracy, I'm not sure if switching something set at 'true' to 'false' is a good idea (in the none computer world it usually is not), especially when the next action involves "this may void your warranty" (the warranty of my computer, or the app/browser?)... :?:

Hmmm, I tried installing it to see what issues were involved found the problem - the app is not signed. See this tweet. But there's an easy solution: just install from the page I point to in the following tweet:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... /alpheios/

They should fix their installation instructions ...

So there is no way to add the Greek Tools with Dodson and Abbott-Smith. How do we/someone go about getting it signed?

Yes, there are ways to add these resources. Someone did that earlier, I'm not sure why they are not in this package, I'll see if I can get them added back. Or perhaps Mounce instead of Dodson at this point.

OK, here's the deal: The signed version is earlier, and does not include these resources. The unsigned version is newer, and includes them, but cannot be installed. A newer version is under development.

In the meantime, LSJ and access to the paradigms is quite useful.

The unsigned one can be installed via installing Firefox's Developer edition. Here are the details from Mozilla on how to do this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ad ... nced-users

Worked for me. The odd part with all this is that after you set your settings, if you want to use Abbott-Smith you'll being reading in the Firefox Developer Edition; if you want to use LSJ you'll be reading in regular Firefox, unless you switch your settings back-and-forth in Developer Edition.

Good news: Alpheios now works on both Firefox and Chrome:

http://alpheios.net

Looks nicer, too.

Bad news: inflection doesn't work yet in the new version.
