ancient Greek MSS -- if not texts, then pictures?

Greetings,

Is there some resource where I can see ancient Greek manuscripts? Photographs would be good; transcriptions are fine, too.

In particular I'd like to see 1365 at Luke 2:11. (Textual apparatus in UBS 3 has an intriguing comment there.)

It doesn't matter whether it's online or on paper, or any other medium.

I'm afraid that MSS of lesser importance are going to be hard to find, but it's worth asking.

Thank you very much!

Oh yes, can I also ask if anyone knows where we can see either photographs or accurate transcriptions (without any added things) of manuscripts? I am particularly interested in punctuated texts, since the current editions of the Greek new testament seem to be based mainly on earlier manuscripts without punctuation, and the whole Codex Sinaiticus is even online now, but I could not find more than a few scattered pictures of selected folios from other manuscripts..

Well for many of the New Testament manuscripts, there's the University of Munster pages such as http://nttranscripts.uni-muenster.de/An ... +start.anv which contains transcriptions of a lot of the manuscripts.

But then there's also http://intf.uni-muenster.de/vmr/NTVMR/L ... riften.php where you can select the manuscript you want to look at.

And http://chrles.multiply.com/photos usually has photos of the early Papyri as well.

For Greek Septuagint ones, I have great difficulty trying to either photo's or images of some of the more interesting Papyri.

The CSNTM has high quality photos of some of the larger manuscripts:

http://www.csntm.org/Manuscript/View/GA_012
http://www.csntm.org/Manuscript/View/GA_03
http://www.csntm.org/Manuscript/View/GA_032

But you're right, the "lesser important" MSS are very hard to find either images or transcriptions of, which is a dreadful shame.

Well, then, I suppose we can ask the owner (museum, monastery, university, whoever) of the MSS in question. Maybe they have their own pictures.

Where do I find out who owns which manuscripts?

Thank you.

I would love to the "WikiLeak" the NT MSS (and any relateds). If images can be obtained, then hosting is a no-brainer, and crowdsourcing could be used to transcribe and categorize them, given enough interest and the images being either public domain or, say, Creative-Commons licensed. Transcribed into a parsed DB, they would also be searchable. But I don't know of a reliable MSS source, and this is only really worthwhile if enough MSS can be found and transcribed for useful comparison with a maintainable set of eclectic texts from the different families.
