Suzanne Ethelwyn McCarthy, 1955-2015

Post by cwconrad »

Several B-Greekers may have been familiar with Suzanne McCarthy's varied body of posts on blogs, most recently in BLT (Bible, Literature, and Translation). She was a specialist in Biblical versions -- especially old versions and illuminated manuscripts -- and in gender issues in Biblical translation from both Greek and Hebrew. I've had occasion several times to call attention to some post of hers that has seemed to me illuminating. It is sad to learn today that she has succumbed to a long sruggle with breast cancer. Thank you, Carl. I had not seen this. Suzanna was a good friend.

There's a nice tribute at the BLT blog, where many of Suzanne's posts appeared in recent years: http://bltnotjustasandwich.com/2015/06/ ... 1955-2015/
