Monte Mackey

Post by monte.mackey »

Greetings - I completed a BA in Koine Greek in the summer of 1978. I've been working on translating the NT and I'm about half way thru. Looking forward to being able to get some feedback or ask questions on difficult or interesting passages.

Thanks, MM

Greetings, Monte, glad to have you aboard. One of our emphases here is actually to avoid translation, but emphasizing understanding the Greek text without translating. Are you working on a formal translation for publication, or for personal enrichment?

Halfway in 37 years. Is the pace gradually picking up?

Which of the world's languages have you been translating it into?
