Feeds should be working now

Post by Jonathan Robie »

Some of you have asked for RSS feeds.

I have now enabled RSS feeds, fixing my earlier configuration, and subscribed using Google Reader. It's working for me. Give it a try, and let me know if it works for you.

You can subscribe through your blog aggregator, I think; Jonathan reads them in Google Reader. Since Apple Mail will download any RSS feed, I simply clicked "subscribe" for each forum, typed in/read "pasted" the URL http://www-test.ibiblio.org/bgreek/forum into the popup for RSS feeds -- and soon started receiving everything but the "staff lounge" items.

I tried adding a subscription ot http://www-test.ibiblio.org/bgreek/forum in Google Reader, and it didn't find it. What am I doing wrong?

Here's what I did:

1. Go to Google Reader
2. "Add a subscription"
3. Enter this: http://ibiblio.org/bgreek/forum/

It said I was subscribed, and showed articles.

Anyone using Firefox can click the feed link to create a "Live Bookmark" (a drop-down in their Bookmarks toolbar) which shows the latest massages:

feed.php :geek:

That's my preferred way of following discussions, anyhow; may switch to a feed reader if things get too busy.
