Search syntax in forums

Is there any way to search for an exact word string in the forums? i.e., I want to find only posts in which the words "future" and "perfect" are found together (i.e., adjacent) and in that order. I've read the search notes in the Advanced Search page, but none address this type of search. I tried enclosing the phrase in quote marks (as is common for such searches elsewhere), but that doesn't work. I know there should be at least one hit since I just posted a query about future perfects, but I had no way to find other posts (if any exist) without reading through nearly 400 posts that happen to contain both words, even though they are not adjacent.

Based on a discussion forum about this topic http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=2092561 it appears that searching for a word string is not implemented in this forum software and that one should use Google's site search to find what you're looking.

I hope this information is wrong or out-of-date.

Best way to search for this is to use Google site search.

phpBB's search box is pretty limited. I'm trying to use phpBB as close to "out of the box" as possible, without customizing it, but I'm sometimes tempted to put a Google site search box up in addition to the phpBB one. So far, my laziness has won out, because you can always use Google.
