Books to help reading Hebrews
I have just started working through Hebrews and was hoping someone could direct me to any recent / good resources like the Baylor books?
I guess I could try John owen’s commentary if I were a masochist and wanted something out of date. I have Nida’s handbook but that isn’t overly linguistic in its analysis

F.F. Bruce's commentary deals with a lot of the language issues.

Not a book, but Exegetical Tools have a series of videos on the Greek of Hebrews, done by Amy Peeler from Wheaton.
You can see a preview on the website to see if it's at a helpful level for you: http://exegeticaltools.com/product/hebr ... ng-videos/
Otherwise, Lane is my go-to for Hebrews.

Thanks all, I will check those resources out
The first couple of chapters seems remarkably pleasant reading other than 2:3b. Am just certain that it is going to change and I am going to need the assist

I remember the manager of bookstore in seminary 40 years ago, Bruce was one of his heroes. I have owned most of his commentaries. Predictable outcome. Similar quality to Leon Morris[1]. Moving forward to the 1990s Paul Ellingworth NIGTC. William Lane spends too much time quoting Germans. You would think Hebrews was written in German. I recall one of his students complaining about his Germanophilia. He taught for a while at SPU.Barry Hofstetter wrote: ↑August 21st, 2018, 10:34 am F.F. Cynthia Long Westfall
Discourse Analysis of the Letter to the Hebrews: The Relationship Between Form and Meaning (T. & T. Clark, 2006),
[1] When a student asked me about Bruce and Morris, good solid orthodox work.

What did you mean by “predictable outcome”?

After reading them for decades you know in advance where they will take you. Unlike Bruce Waltke there were no surprises with F.F. Bruce and L. Morris.

I have been relying on the new international Greek testament commentary and the exegetical summary volume from SIL so far
