In what ways have you found relevance theory useful for the exegete?

Not yet, but it's on my long to-do list.

Rather than create a new thread I was wondering whether anyone has had more thoughts on this?
I have enjoyed Margaret Sims work on ina and hoti using relevance theory and her book “a relevant way to read”.
I have also noted with interest Fantin’s incorporation of it into his book on the imperative mood although I am in the early parts of this book right now

Matthew,

In 2004 there was a rather long thread on this posted at b-Hebrew. You might find it amusing if not enlightening.

Participants in the thread include Reinier de Blois, Peter Kirk, and several others.
