Romans 8:28 πάντα συνεργεῖ εἰς ἀγαθόν
In Romans 8:28 πάντα συνεργεῖ εἰς ἀγαθόν is translated in most English versions as "all things work together for good." The NASB and NIV both include the word God (in the case of the NASB it seems to be a textual preference while in the NIV I'm not sure if it is textual or an attempt at clarity). All other major translations go with "all things work together for good." My question . . . Since συνεργεῖ is a 3rd person singular verb, is the translation "he works all things together for good" an acceptable translation?

Hi Joel, this is one of those verses that have a number of good exegetical options but no good way for deciding between them. As such, it has come up quite a few times on B-Greek over the years. One particularly full response is found at: http://www.ibiblio.org/bgreek/test-arch ... /6137.html
