I can't read the Greek text in that article, which doesn't look like Unicode. Do I have to install a particular font?
Maybe I've gotten too much practice reading pre-Unicode fonts, but the Greek didn't seem that difficult, and everything's cited so you can look up the Greek for yourself. But yes extremely annoying. Apparently, you'd have to install the Galaxie font: https://bible.org/article/viewing-fonts ... and-hebrew

2. Related to this, there is anacoluthon in Paul and even more so in Peter with participles that have no direct connection to a finite verb.
This would be my preferred explanation, and not terribly different from:

(2) this is a sentence fragment produced in normal speech.
Anacolutha in Paul is more common than one would assume and our exegetical tradition, including the creation of such categories as "imperatival participle," tends to obscure them.

I don't understand the issue with the greek display. It looks just fine in Safari and Firefox on my Macbook Pro running HighSierra. I got bogged down in the prolegomona. Is this a PhD dissertation? Really stretches my patience to the breaking point when someone takes so long to get started on the argument. An uncharitable person might suspect the author has wandered off the grid into uncharted territory without a compass.

Thanks, that did it.

Hmmm, I find myself really wondering about the context surrounding these quotes. In some of the verses I have been looking at, you need to read beyond one verse to find the corresponding finite verb or the context that suggests an implied verb. I would have to take the time to look them up to properly evaluate them.

I wonder why. It seems fundamentally important for understanding what is going on in these sentences.
