I'm not sure if my first proposition (in the earlier post) would be correct. Maybe ου παρα τουτο is more like an idiom, and so much that it must be in the beginning of the clause (or are there counterexamples for the word order?).
I presume your paraphrase is what LSJ means, which I was referring to and Barry helpfully quoted. However with the wide variety of phrases listed in LSJ alone, I do not think it is necessary to consider the whole phrase an idiom, but rather the preposition by itself already can mean "simply because (sufficient reason)".
