What publication would you recommend as a commentary on The Greek of The Greek N.T.?

χαῖρε Εθος,

α. A Grammatical Analysis of the Greek New Testament by Maximilian Zerwick. It's curiously out of print.

β.. The notes to the NET diglot are first rate.

γ. The Vulgate, if you know Latin, is the best commentary of all to the Greek NT.

χαῖρε ὦ φίλε,

Ethos, I agree with Mark. As I have Zerwick's book, feel free to ask me what he says about various words. Hopefully you can find a used copy somewhere.

I would also add these to the list:

1. The United Bible Societies' Translator Handbook series (multiple volumes on various NT books).

2. The word studies of Marvin Vincent, A.T. Robertson, and William Barclay are often helpful.

3. C.F.D. Moule's Idiom Book of NT Greek.
