Youtube: what's really worth watching?

Post by Jonathan Robie »

For those of us who want to steep ourselves in more living Koine Greek, what's really worth watching on Youtube? Please use the [youtube] tag to embed your suggestions.

Silence so far in this thread.

Someone had suggested that there might be a lot of good stuff on Youtube for Greek language immersion. I've spent some time searching, and haven't come up with much yet, but I haven't done many Youtube searches, so I may well be missing something.

Are there things on Youtube that are really worth watching for Greek language immersion? If so, can you suggest a few particularly good things? If not, could someone confirm that I'm not just missing the good stuff?

Here's the first of 9 videos containing the Liturgy of St. Chrysostom:

A nice recording of the Τρισάγιον:

The Lord's Prayer, read clearly by a native speaker, with words appearing on the screen, one phrase at a time. Perhaps a good thing to hand to interested students?

There's also a version that repeats three times:

ἐξίσταντο δὲ πάντες καὶ διηποροῦντο, ἄλλος πρὸς ἄλλον λέγοντες, τί θέλει τοῦτο εἶναι;
