I have a BA with a modern History Major (and Ancient History minor), Monash Univ Vic, Australia, 1981, and completed a PhD in the History Dept, Religious Studies Programme, LaTrobe Univ, Vic, Australia,1995. My thesis was published by Sheffield Academic Press in 2000 as Text in a Whirlwind, A Reconsideration of Four Exegetical Devices at 1 Tim.2:9-15. My supervisors were Dr Anne Gardiner and (now) Professor G.H.R.Horsley. My Hellenistic Greek teachers were Dr Alex Hopkins (privately)1st yr, then at LaT Dr John Painter 2nd yr 1st sem, and Greg Horsley 2nd yr 2nd sem and 3rd yr. I tutored 1st yr Ancient Civilisations for a few years, and now lead a U3A class on the same subject.
