eclectic method in textual criticism

At the risk of appearing to toot my own horn, may I suggest for those
interested in why scholars who all claim to use the "eclectic method"
produce divergent results--e.g., Wikgren vs. Metzger vs. Aland vs.
whomever--the following article:
