Dear Loril
The answer has to be 1 Thess. 2.13-16 - quite the most fascinating
passage in the letter (with the possible exception of 4.13-18), and
much discussed in the commentaries, especially over the question of
whether or not this is a 'deutero-Pauline interpolation'. My own
instinct tends to be to appeal to such things only as a last resort,
in which case one has to make sense of the apparent incongruity
between this passage and Romans 9-11. Plenty for an exegetical paper
there!
Good wishes
Mark
