Dear friends,

Can you help me with Phil 2:12's last clause?

META FOBOU KAI TROMOU THN (EAUTWN SWTHRIAN KATERGAZESQE

Would you say the word order in the last clause is "marked"? That is,
marked for emphasis, deixis, topicalization? Is the imperative indeed
syntactically delayed? Is it that the Philippians' working out their
salvation was sort of the given, and Paul is stressing *how* to work it out?
Or does the delay of the verb until last p[lace in the clause put emphasis
on it by virtue of a kind of suspense?

Thanx in advance,
Bryan
