* I assume Paul coined the word SUNEZWOPOIHSEN?

* In Eph 2:5:

SUNEZWOPOIHSE TWi XRISTWi XARITI ESTE SESWSMENOI KAI SUNHGEIRE KAI
SUNEAQISEN...

Commonly translated with XARITI ESTE SESWSMENOI being parenthetical:

5
NIV
made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by
grace you have been saved.
RSV
even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with
Christ (by grace you have been saved),
KJV
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by
grace ye are saved;)
DBY
(we too being dead in offences,) has quickened us with the Christ, (ye are
saved by grace,)
YLT
even being dead in the trespasses, did make us to live together with the
Christ, (by grace ye are having been saved,)
6
RSV
and raised us up with him, and made us sit with him in the heavenly places
in Christ Jesus,
KJV
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places
in Christ Jesus:
DBY
and has raised [us] up together, and has made [us] sit down together in the
heavenlies in Christ Jesus,
YLT
and did raise [us] up together, and did seat [us] together in the heavenly
[places] in Christ Jesus,

That construct seems annoyingly awkward to me. Couldn't it just as easily be
read:

"Ye are in grace, having been saved. Even, raised together and seated
together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus."

The same issue occurs later on in verses 8-9:

THi GAR XARITI ESTE SESWSMENOI DIA THS PISTEWS KAI TOUTO OUK EX hHUMWN QEOU
TO DWRON OUK EX ERGWN hINA MH TIS KAUXHSHTAI

Couldn't this read:

"For you are in the grace, having been saved by the faith. This [condition]
[is] not of yourselves, [it is] the divine gift, not of works, that no one
could boast."

Alternatively, might it read:

"By grace you are [alive together with Christ], having been saved..."
