Re: Question on NIV of 1 Tim. 6:12

It seems the translators of the NIV chose to translate KAI as "when" in this
passage. I have not been able to find any grammarian who accepts a
"temporal" use of this word. Does anyone have insight as to why the NIV
would choose this particular translation?
