1 John 2: GINWSKW VS OIDA

I notice that John uses both GINWSKW (vss 3,4,13,14) and OIDA (vss
11,20,21,29) in the second chapter of his first epistle. Is there any
distinction to be drawn between these two terms, in the context of this
chapter, or is he just providing a little variety for the reader?
Thanks.

Ted
