Well, it would Wayne, since you have that font installed on your system -<g>

I have found what the problem is --- my Win98 came with GREEK2.TTF installed.
I checked the Fontographer dates in my own GREEK2.TTF as against your
GREEK.TTF, and they appear to be the same.

In fact, when I installed the GREEK.TTF that you sent into my \FONTS it
overwrote the GREEK2.TTF, rather than resided alongside it --- so I will
have to retrieve my GREEK2.TTF from my last backup, in case it is needed
for some program for which GREEK.TTF will not work. <g>

BTW, is there anyone out there who can tell me the difference between the
two fonts?

On the other points you make,
"Western" is the default setting on Netscape

But more importantly, surely the day is gone ( or soon to go ) when a
web-page and the remote machine reading it has to have the same font installed?
"Dynamic Fonts" along with Java have been round for long enough now for
this to be
in regular use.

For all those who want further information on the free fonts -- see my URL
for the SBL in the previous posting --- and for additional information on
encoding HTML pages for Greek ( and other ) fonts see:
