The use of EGENETO seems to take on various meanings in translation. My question is mostly concerning its use in John 1:6, EGENETO ANTHROPOS APESTALMENOS PARA THEOU. Does this infer that John’s existence was specific to the purpose of the introduction of the Christ? Anthony PS My thanks to all those who helped in my search on lexicons. I have placed some orders. The new edition to The Greek-English Lexicon for the NT, Walter Bauer is not due out until some time in September, and the Greek-English Lexicon for the Septuagint, Lust will be out some time in July. I pray to be patient and hold out till then. It has been a frustrating search. --- B-Greek home page: http://metalab.unc.edu/bgreek You are currently subscribed to b-greek as: [jwrobie@mindspring.com] To unsubscribe, forward this message to leave-b-greek-327Q@franklin.oit.unc.edu To subscribe, send a message to subscribe-b-greek@franklin.oit.unc.edu
