Dear friends: Could you please help me to translate a phrase from 1Cor 14:10: TOSAUTA EI TUCOI GENH FWNWN EISIN EN KOSMW, KAI OUDEN AFWNWN. The common translation is: "There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and no [kind] is without signification". My question is: wouldn't it be more logical to translate the last part of the phrase as "so many kinds of sounds, and there is nothing without sound"? It seems to me that FWNOS used twice in the same verse should mean the same. What do you think?
