The 2nd ed has more than 23 pages of references in fairly large print. The 3rd ed has more than 14 pages in much smaller print. The 4th ed is the same as the 3rd. In the 3rd and 4th eds the references have been divided into 2 separate categories: quotations and allusions. This, combined with the smaller print, may make it seem as though there are fewer references. But this is not the case. You may still use the full set of references in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th eds to [Winbery] decide for myself whether something is a loose quote or an allusion or perhaps should not even be associated with the NT verse.
