G' day Julian, Here are my recommendations: Theological Dictionary of the NT, Geoffrey Bromiley - $50 (abridgement of Kittel's 10 vol. work - a good supplement to Colin Brown) A NT Grk Morpheme Lexicon, Harold Greenlee - $25 (very complete) Synonyms of the NT, Richard Trench - $18 (Excellent, but not complete) Complete Handbook of Greek Verbs, N. Marinone - $25 (good for finding forgotten forms fast) A Grammatical Analysis of the Grk NT, Max Zerwick - $30 (also get his companion vol. Biblical Greek - $20 - I use this tool more than any other Grk ref. work) A Grk-Eng Lexicon of the NT and Other Early Christian Literature, (BDAG), 3rd ed. (thorough, top of the field) - $65 Vine's Complete Expository Dictionary of OT and NT Words, W.E. Vine (scholarly and complete, yet easy to understand) - $17 Word Meanings in the NT, Ralph Earle (He draws on many scholarly sources and makes them accessible to the average Bible student) - $15 Word Pictures in the NT, 6 vol., A.T Robertson (thorough treatment, new 1 vol abridgement just released - $15) Theological Lexicon of NT, 3 vol, Celas Spiq (like Kittel and Brown) - $60 Word Studies in the NT, 4 vol., Marvin Vincent (He, like Earle, draws on many scholarly sources) - $35 The New Linguistic and Exegetical Key to the Grk NT, Cleon Rogers (like Zerwick but with more exegetical material) - $30 Word Studies in the Grk NT, 4 vol. Kenneth Wuest (draws on many scholars and adds his own erudition; very accessible to the average Bible student; inlcludes his own translation of the NT) - $45 Morphology of Biblical Grk, William Mounce (like Greenlee but with much more explanatory material) $28 I hope this helps. :-) Yours in His grace, Richard Ghilardi -- qodeshlayhvh@juno.com New Haven, CT USA Nibai kaurno hwaiteis gadriusando in airtha gaswiltith, silbo ainata aflifnith: ith jabai gaswiltith, manag akran bairith.
