Dear b-greekers, I just purchased a new GNT. It's published in Greece by EKDOSEIS "O LOGOS", AQHNA, 1994. It's dual language: the official church-sanctioned Byzantine text on the left-hand page and a very modern Greek rendering on the right by SUMEWN IWANNIDHS. The price? ONLY $17.45 -- for a HARDBACK book! :-) It also has a NT dictionary, a complete concordance without context lines and a list of quotations from the OT in NT book order. And it's a clean text: no text critical marks for the eyes to stumble over in the text. I would like to inscribe my new NT with an appropriate quote, in Greek, from one of the pagan writers, preferably from one of the pre-Christians. Here's an example of what I mean: AMFOIN GAR [FILOI KAI ALHQEIA] ONTOIN FILOIN hOSION PROTIMAN THN ALHQEIAN. Nikomachean Ethics, Aristotle I would appreciate any suggestions off-list. EUCARISTW hUMIN.
