Hello, I'm a beginner, and I am looking for a little help with John 16:22 : PALIN DE OYOMAI hUMAS, KAI XARHSETAI hUMWN hH KARDIA, KAI THN XARAN hMWN OUDEIS AIREI AF' hUMWN. I can't understand why the word AIREI in the final clause is in the present tense. It seems to me that AREI (future active) would be appropriate here, since both OYOMAI and XARHSETAI are future. Or is there some more subtle nuance I am missing?
