G/ 3130 Richard and Cyndi arrive.

                        EVELYN
The groom, Yang Richard, and Cyndi, who
channels into the Yin Priestess Dwallah . . .
I've been talking about the philosophy of the
                wedding with Yin Trudy . . .

                        CYNDI
                Oh?

                        TRUDY
                I did my best.

                        EVELYN
She did very well, actually. Especially for
being such a new member of the church. Tell
me, how did you two meet?

                        YANG RICHARD
You want to tell or shall I?

                        TRUDY
He swept me off my feet.

                        EVELYN
                Now that's a tradition I can understand.

                        YANG RICHARD
                I was in L.A., working on a case -- I'm an
attorney -- and during lunch one day, walking
down Santa Monica Blvd., lo, who crossed my
path but the most beautiful woman in the
                world?

                        EVELYN
Beyond the primitive trappings of the ceremony
itself, we have a very romantic story, it
                seems.

                        CYNDI
You don't think the wedding was romantic?

                        EVELYN
                Not in the storybook sense.

                        CYNDI
It was romance before storybooks. Walt Disney
                was a male, don't forget.

                        EVELYN
Then you're saying the ceremony was feminist?

                        CYNDI
I didn't say that. I said storybook romances
like Sleeping Beauty come from Walt Disney,
who looked at the world through male eyes
alone. We look at the world through the eyes
                of complementarity and primitive balance.

                        YANG RICHARD
What she means is, and don't hit me for this,
Cyndi, is that who can explain male/female
attraction? I mean, with us, it was
instantaneous. In my case, any way.

                        TRUDY
                In mine as well.

                        EVELYN
So the ceremony is really just that -- a
                ceremony, a ritual.

                        CYNDI
It was a wedding, for Christ's sake.

                        EVELYN
                For Christ's?

                        CYNDI
                Figure of speech.

Richard understands that CYNDI is getting upset, a little
jealous at his charade of devotion to Trudy.

                        YANG RICHARD
We all have our rituals, right? This
particular ceremony, with the offering of the
bride, and the yearning of yinless yang and
                the yearning of yangless yin--

                        EVELYN
You say that tongue-twister very well.

                        YANG RICHARD
It's a very traditional wedding ceremony in
our church. That's all there is to it.

                        CYNDI
                It's a true wedding. Not a storybook, not a
romance -- reality. Yin and Yang, in
primitive balance. You got it? Have a nice
                day.

She moves off, and Yang Richard is quick to follow her.
        Trudy is left behind.
