Introduction

Introduction
Introduction
Detachment E, Company C, 3110th Signal Service Battalion was established on April 17, 1944 in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England, and consisted of 2 officers and 27 enlisted men.

Company Morning Reports indicate that Detachment E was called back to Company C approximately June 21, 1944 and deployed to France at Utah Beach on July 25, 1944.

The modified Dodge WC-51 were probably left in England for use by other Signal Corps units to continue to maintain and repair the communication network the 3110th had installed and maintained.

Felix A. Cizewski, my late father,
was not in Detachment E.
