Dear Sis,

Just a few lines to let you know I am feeling fine and hope you and the family are the same. Received your package and sure thank you. I guess Ches will not stay there very long and so I hope he take care of himself. (Ches is their brother Chester who enlisted in the Seabees and served in the Pacific in the war with Japan.)

It seems as though they ar taking every one into the service from our neighborhood. I hope that every one returns safely  after this is all over with. I guess Pa's jalopy is ready to fall apart. I imagine every thing is rather quiet back home. Shirlee sends her  regards to you and the family. I guess it is rather hard to convince Pa and he is always right in any regard.(Felix married Shirlee Cohn in 1943. The marriage was later annulled.) There really is not much more I can think of for now so until I hear from you I remain

Your Brother

Felix
