BOTNET
A database to collect and manage disparate stores of botanical data and information and provide internet access to the information for botanists on all public, professional and student levels. The vision also seeks to encourage local botanical data preparation and management and to establish "common ground" means of providing remote access to the information through easily accessible Web-based tools.
Construccion cooperativa de conocimientos
Gleducar es un proyecto educativo, colaborativo y cooperativo que persigue la adecuación de las aulas argentinas a las Nuevas Tecnologías de la Comunicación y la Información, produciendo un cambio en el paradigma de la producción, construcción y difusión de los contenidos educativos. Todo ello afirmado, facilitado y potenciado por el uso de Software Libre educativo. Esto implica desde el uso de aplicaciones ofimáticas, pasando por Internet, hasta el uso y desarrollo de contenidos y software educativo. El mismo no se conforma con solo aggiornar un poco los gabinetes informáticos, porque eso significaría mas de lo mismo. Tiene un objetivo mucho más ambicioso: empezar a usar la informática como herramienta para enseñar, basándose en el modelo educacional que nos ofrece el mundo [http://www.gnu.org GNU]. Intenta quebrar cercos personales e institucionales, encontrar y compartir material didáctico e información complementaria para la planificación y producción pedagógica; y ubicar en su justo lugar a la computadora dentro de la escuela. Las dos partes fundamentales del proyecto son "Gleducar-Escuela" y "Gleducar-Web".

PIC is in the process of developing an "Ask the Expert" application and an "Interactive Contributory Module" that will permit users to submit botanical resources to a community store.
