DefineDesign

DefineDesign is a point of confluence of design ideas. Information design, graphic design, interface design and interaction design have a strong overlap of interest and expertise. Architecture, urban planning and environmental design have traditionally overlapped. With the integration of computers and technology into the manual areas of design, such as architecture and illustration, multiple fields of design are drawing closer together.

This is not a proposal for interface designers to design high rise towers, or for architects to become graphic designers. But with technology, there is a convergence. DefineDeisgn is an exploration of how the varied array of design professions can informa each other in the examination and application of design issues, visual communication and visual thinking.

DefineDesign newsletter offers regular updates on current design articles, thoughts and issues.
