    Korean War Field Hospital

    Korean War Helicopter Casualty Evacuation


    "Marine Invents Litter Cover -- Leatherneck Staff Sgt. Arthur L. Kent, ..., a member of Marine Observation Squadron VMO-6 of the First Marine Aircraft Wing in Korea, zips up a new litter cover he invented to aid casualty evacuation."

    Korean War Casualty Evacuation


    "Air Evacuation -- Somewhere in North Korea two wounded marines lie in an open field receiving blood plasma and first aid treatment. Land mines were responsible for the casualties. As corpsmen render what treatment they can to the wounded Marines, a helicopter is enroute to evacuate them to rear area aid stations."

    Bell HTL-4 helicopter


    "Air Evacuation -- Wounded Marines safely secured to HTL-4 helicopter start their air journey from the front lines to a rear area aid station for medical treatment. The HTL-4 is not leaving from a regular evacuation strip. It landed on a well-used jeep road due to mines."

    Munsan-Ni was the site of the advanced camp for the United Nations' Command Korean Armisitice negotiating team.

    Fleet Epidemic Disease Control Unit One (FEDCU ONE)

    The location may be the village of Cho Dong, on Ullung-Do island, where FEDCU ONE personnel treated a Typhoid outbreak in mid-1952.
