Camouflage Measure 32-33 series, Design 8A


Drawing prepared by the Bureau of Ships for a camouflage scheme intended for small aircraft carriers of the CVL-22 (Independence) class.
This plan, approved by Captain Henry A. Ingram, USN, is dated 9 December 1943. It shows the ship's port side.
USS Independence (CVL-22) and USS Bataan (CVL-29) were painted in this camouflage design, but the colors applied are not specified on the drawing, and may have varied.
