S.S. Floridian (American Freighter, 1915).
Served as USS Floridian (ID # 3875) in 1919

Floridian, a 6930 gross ton freighter, was built at Baltimore, Maryland, in 1915. She was employed as a transport, under U.S. Army charter, during World War I and in late January 1919 was transferred to the Navy for further troop transport service. Placed in commission at that time as USS Floridian (ID # 3875), she made three round-trip voyages between the East Coast and France between March and July 1919, and was then decommissioned. Floridian was returned to her owners early in August 1919.

This page features the only views we have concerning S.S. Floridian of 1915 and USS Floridian (ID # 3875).
