Margaret (U.S. Menhaden Fishing Trawler, 1912).
Served in 1917-19 as USS Margaret (SP-328) and as USS SP-328

Margaret, a 273-gross-ton menhaden fishing trawler, was built in 1912. During World War I she was acquired by the Navy, being placed in commission as USS Margaret (SP-328) in May 1917. She was renamed SP-328 in 1918 to avoid confusion with another Navy ship named Margaret. No longer required following the Armistice, USS SP-328 was sold to her former owner in April 1919.

This page features our only views of the fishing vessel Margaret and USS Margaret (SP-328), later renamed USS SP-328.
