USS Triton (1889-1930, later YT-10)

USS Triton, a 212-ton tug, was built at Camden, New Jersey, in 1889 and purchased in that year by the Navy. Her long career was spent operating out of the Washington Navy Yard, D.C., with frequent trips to Indian Head, Maryland. In 1921, she was designated YT-10. Triton was struck from the Navy List in May 1930 and sold the following September.

This page features a selected view of USS Triton.
