USS Zigzag (SP-106), 1917-1929
Originally the Civilian Motor Boat Zigzag (1916)

Zigzag, a 44-foot motor pleasure boat, was built in 1916 by the A.E. Luders Construction Company at Stamford, Connecticut, and was subsequently owned by a resident of Bradenton, Florida. In late June 1917 the Navy acquired her for World War I service, placing her in commission in August as USS Zigzag (SP-106). For the rest of the conflict, she was employed on section patrol work in Florida waters. While laid up awaiting sale at Key West, Florida, in September 1919, Zigzag was wrecked by a hurricane.

This page features all the views we have related to Zigzag (SP-106) and to the civilian motor boat Zigzag.
